STATEMENT ON HALCYON'S POSITION ON ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE PACKAGING

Halcyon Plastics Ltd is aware of the current interest in Degradable films for use in packaging. Our corporate policy is never to use sensitive environmental issues as a marketing tool. We are able to supply a number of “environmentally responsible” products, which include recyclable, recycled and biodegradable plastics. As is evident from all the documentation and official studies of the impact on our environment many arguments rage with regard to paper versus plastic, recyclable versus biodegradable and so on.

There are positive and negative reports relating to the use of any of the options. It appears that whatever route one chooses in an attempt to be environmentally responsible there is always an opposing view.

Consequently as a Company we do not feel it appropriate that we recommend a route that our clients should adopt, rather, we will make available access to a broad spectrum of literature that will provide information upon which, you, our customer can base your own decision.

We have no axe to grind and will be happy to supply any product providing that it conforms to current standards and complies with current legislation.
